Food industry workers and farmers insist on adopting more stringent European food quality standards

The representatives of leading food manufacturers and agricultural businesses informed the participants of the conference, which was organized by "Kyiv Post" Newspaper, that they support governmental initiatives aimed at implementing and complying with European food safety and quality standards.
The most responsible manufacturers already meet the European Union requirements at their plants in Ukraine.
Frederick Aherne, who is Non-Executive Director of "Milkiland Ukraine" Subsidiary Enterprise:
‘Assuring safety is a necessary requirement for food industry,’ said Mr. Aherne. ‘Food safety means that such food complies with all laws and rules regulating the contents and production conditions. Without assuring food safety, no business is possible. No marketing ploy or pretty packaging will help if your product does not meet the safety standards.’
