"Run under the Chestnut Trees" Charitable Marathon 2013

"Milkiland-Ukraine" Company took part in the "Run under the chestnut trees" annual sports charity project.
This year, the Run was held for the 21st time and gathered more than 13,000 participants who ran through the central streets of Kiev to help kids with heart diseases.
The campaign’s charitable mission was supported by a record number of 150 corporate teams providing the Run with groups of participants from 5 to over 7,000 people.
Funds raised during the "Run under the chestnut trees" are to be transferred to the Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine for purchasing necessary equipment. The official announcement of the amount of funds raised by all participants of the campaign will be held on Monday, June 3, 2013 as a part of the official press conference.
Traditionally the Run included several races for different categories of participants: children, athletes, disabled participants in wheelchairs and benefactors. The winners of each category were rewarded with awards and valuable and useful prizes for sports and healthy lifestyle:
The youngest participant of the Run was the tiny Emilia Glodia from Rovno, who celebrated her 1 month and 26 days of living on the day of the Run.
The oldest race participants shared the age of 87.
Moreover, the marathon awarded the winners in such nominations as "The owner of number 21 of the Run" and "Future participant of the Run" - an expectant mother.
